Ideation: Co-creation workshop
Using this set of insights and HMW questions, we ran a sharing and co-creation exercise with our team.
The problem was more abstract than we expected. We thought we could do a 1-to-1 mapping of GitHub to Isomer as a quick reskin, but that’s not even how users are using the features. Therefore, we went for a more conceptual route, we saw it as an opportunity to explore a better flow.
For this workshop, we brainstormed flows and features that helped us with our planning for the MVP, using methods such as Crazy 8s and storyboarding.

Wireframing
With our team’s input, we moved on to wireframing. We considered the editors’ and reviewers’ experiences from editing ⟶ reviewing ⟶ publishing. We sketched our concepts on paper then recreated them on Figma using our design system to quickly iterate and draw out some preliminary flows.

Concept testing with users
While we were working on the wireframes, we reached out to Isomer users (both editors and reviewers) for concept testing. We wanted to get a quick sensing of what users like from each concept
and find out more about their mental model.
